Here are a few travel blogs that really helped us out when planning our adventure and we still use them today. We trust the information and resources these blogs provide and we are continually motivated by their amazing experiences. We hope we can give back to these websites in some small way and hope you find them as inspiring as we do!
The Quest For Awesome
Our good buddy Dave from college (Go Mustangs!) was the spark that ignited our own quest for awesomeness. He’s been traveling out of a 20-pound backpack since 2012 with the goal of becoming location independent. Top posts include: gear list for packing light, costs for traveling the world for a year, round the world airline tickets, and other travel tips and tricks.
Never Ending Voyage
A nomadic couple (Erin & Simon) from London who have been traveling for over five years with carry-on bags. They’ve covered most of the world, especially Asia and Europe, and we use their travel finances app, Trail Wallet, to track all of our travel expenses. This blog made us realize that we weren’t the only ones with this dream and that it’s actually possible!
Nomadic Matt
One of the most recognized and well-read travel blogs out there. Nomadic Matt is now the author of the New York Times best-selling book How to Travel the World on $50 a Day. We reaped lots of good information from this website including the recommendation for our current traveler’s insurance, World Nomads.
Till The Money Runs Out
Digital nomad couple (Jenny & Tom) from good ol’ California traveling since 2011. Fun pictures and great writing keeps us entertained. Most popular topics include carry-on packing lists and travel before marriage.
Outside Found
Other friends from college (SLO life!), Alyssa & Will, took their careers and puppy on the road in a school bus they’ve converted into a tiny house. They remind us how incredible the lands of the great U.S.A. are and to keep active in the great outdoors. Beautiful blog layout and pictures.
